Spare Ribs

Ingredients
- 12 spare ribs
- 4 onions
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 4 garlic cloves crushed
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sage
- 1 tbsp rosemay
- 1 tbsp mustard seeds
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Dice the onions and crush the garlic. Saute for 10 mins until soft.
- Add the tomato paste, salt, pepper, beef stock cube, soy sauce, sage, rosemary and mustard seeds. Simmer for 5 mins.
- Add the tin of chopped tomatoes and bring to the boil.
- Cover the ribs with sauce and marinade as long as possible.
- Cook for 1 hour +, covered in foil for the first half hour.
Notes
For slow cooker - cook on low for 7-8 hours. Add extra water if doing for more than 4 hours. Serve with rice and corn.
